About Us
The
Buda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) was established
in 2001. The stated goal of the newly formed corporation
was “to increase the tax base and job opportunities while
enhancing the community character and natural resources”.
Working in concert with the City of Buda and the Buda Area
Chamber of Commerce,
a large portion of that lofty goal has been realized.
Buda is
home to such diverse companies as Cabela’s, Texas Lehigh
Cement Company, U. S. Foodservice,
and Dynamic Systems.
Buda
Economic Development Corporation is a proud member of the
Buda Area Chamber of Commerce (www.budachamber.com),
Capital Area Council of Governments (www.capcog.org),
and Texas One (Texas Economic Development Council (www.texasedc.org).
Our
location along the IH 35 corridor between Austin and San
Antonio makes us a desirable community for those looking
for a home, a business venture, a development opportunity

Economic
Development Board - Two-Year Terms
Regularly
scheduled board meetings are held at the Buda Area Chamber
of Commerce
office, 203 Railroad Street, Suite 1-C,
Buda, TX 78610 on the 1st Monday of each
month at 6:00 p.m.
