Our office has been notified that the “221 Truck Stop” in Buda sold in late December.  No word yet on who bought this Buda landmark.  This is a super location for someone interested in a building with several acres that is zoned “Interstate Commercial”.  Great possibilities. 

Still no word on the recent sale of the former Buda Post Office building located downtown.  The realtor says that closing is near.  This corner location with ample parking would make a great location for any number of business enterprises.

We continue to work several prospects here at Buda Economic Development.  Included in the mix are two “green” prospects.  Also noticed that “E Z Go golf carts” has secured a location along IH 35 just south of Cabela’s.   Looks like business may be picking up a bit.  That’s good news after the downward trend the past 12 months.  Let’s get busy and make 2010 a great business year here in Buda and all along “The Corridor”. 

Now a quick transportation update.  IH 35 & CR 131 (Home Depot), under construction.  IH 35 & Main St., under construction, completion early 2011.  Truck Bypass overpass, currently out for bid, letting in mid March, completion late 2010.
