Trae Garcia

Trae Garcia is a proud Buda resident whose heart has always been here. With over 20 years of calling Buda home, he’s deeply connected to the community and passionate about seeing it thrive. Originally from South Texas, he brings a unique perspective to his work, combining a love for the area with his professional expertise. 

Trae’s career spans multiple roles, including serving as a newsroom manager at Texas State University, where he helped expand the school’s brand nationally. Before joining Buda EDC, he also worked as a producer and assignment desk editor at Fox 7 Austin News, where he honed his skills and communication style.

Now, at the Buda EDC, Trae is committed to supporting the businesses that make Buda unique. From supporting efforts like The Buda HIVE business incubator program to events like South of South By (SOSX), Trae works hard to promote Buda’s unique charm and bring more opportunities to the community.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Trae enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, skateboarding at Buda’s local skatepark, and exploring the world of real estate.
