Buda Economic Development Corporation Recognized as 2025 TEDC Economic Excellence Recognition Recipient

(Buda EDC) BUDA, TEXAS, March 3, 2026 — The Buda Economic Development Corporation has been recognized as one of 85 economic development organizations across the state to receive the 2025 Economic Excellence Recognition from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).

The recognition was presented during TEDC’s 2026 Winter Conference held in El Paso, Texas, and highlights organizations that meet a high threshold of professionalism in economic development practices. Qualification for the Economic Excellence Recognition is based on standards that include professional development of governing boards, certifications and continuing education of staff, active professional memberships, and demonstrated organizational effectiveness.

Buda EDC’s inclusion among this select group of 85 recognized organizations reflects the corporation’s ongoing commitment to best-in-class governance, strategic execution, and continuous professional growth in service to the City of Buda.

“This recognition affirms the intentional work of our board and staff to uphold the highest standards in economic development,” said Jennifer Storm, CEO of Buda EDC. “Professional development, accountability, and strategic alignment are foundational to how we serve our community. We are honored to be counted among the organizations recognized statewide.”

The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program honors communities and regions that demonstrate a commitment to professionalizing their economic development efforts. Recipients qualify based on measurable benchmarks that strengthen both internal capacity and long-term economic impact.

“The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders, and their economic development professionals have toward the professionalization of their economic development efforts,” noted Carlton Schwab, President/CEO of the TEDC.”

For Buda EDC, the recognition aligns directly with its 2024–2028 strategic focus on targeted industry recruitment, business retention and expansion, workforce alignment, and sustainable growth.
